It is the hope of our congregation that all students will continue their Judaic studies beyond Bar/Bat Mitzvah year, but especially into High School. Our Lishmah Students meet on a weekday evening, once or twice a month with the Rabbi, other teachers, and guest speakers to explore, discuss, and develop deeper awareness of what it means to be a modern Jew. Class sessions operate in a more relaxed atmosphere as the students delve into such topics as:
- Reform Jewish Philosophy
- Theology
- Ancient and Modern History
- Antisemitism and Global Politics
- Bio-ethics
- Current Events
- Rights and Responsibilities as future Jewish leaders
