High School Youth

The Congregation Beth Yam Youth Group is comprised of energetic and committed young people who are interested in making a difference in the life of our temple and in the community at large. Here is some information about it:

• The group considers itself a youth action program trying to make an impact.
• The youth group shows its support for the community with community service activities.
• It also endeavors to interact with other Jewish youth in the Southeast Region.
• The BYYG is a member of NFTY, the North American Federation of Temple Youth.

Currently, the board of the group includes Jazmine Morgan, President; Programming VP Shelby Keating, and Scribes Sabina Sister, Matthew Feldman, and Ashley Hamilton.

Since these young people live in a small town, they don’t often have opportunities to meet other Jewish teens. The program currently allows them to do that.
